Every week I am amazed by some strange object I find that looks like a flow/circus part.  Would anyone like to join in on this game?   To start, here is the toy I found today.  It's actually called a JumpSnap, and its an electronic jump rope with weighted handles and no rope.  It's supposed to provide a good cardiovascular workout without the danger of getting tangled, but I'm pretty sure it's a.......…See More

Can I Build a Hoopy Career?

Posted on December 11, 2010 at 7:24am 0 Comments

Most people go online and talk about all of the things hooping has done for them: helping them lose weight, finding their center and balance, bringing endless joy and playfulness... but my hooping has had a completely different effect. It's helped me see just how sad my work at the day job has become, and opened my mind to several options for finding happiness AND income in the hoop!

My hooping has become integrated with all of the other things I enjoyed outside of the hoop,…

Being a Hooping Family

Posted on December 8, 2010 at 8:35pm 2 Comments

Today I caught myself daydreaming about all the ways our family has changed since I started hooping. Back when I had end tables in my living room lol. When I had decorations on my mantle. It seems like ages ago, and although I think about how my life has changed quite often, I never really realized how hooping has affected my little family until today!

First let me say that I'm a single mom, and I have twin daughters (they are six). I'm…

Posted on December 7, 2010 at 9:30pm 7 Comments

So frustrated with my chest angles today! When I use my larger hoops I do much better, but no luck at all with my 36". Hoop just slides straight to my waist (leaning over forward) or hits me square in the chin (leaning backward)!

Argghhh!

If anyone has tips let me know! I will review them tomorrow when my jaw feels better!

Giving thanks this Thanksgiving - Let's hear it for the boys!

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 11:13am 3 Comments

I don't usually pay attention to the Thanksgiving holiday, but this year there have been some amazing hoopers who have shown me all sorts of hoopy things I never thought possible! In particular, I'd like to show my appreciation and gratitude for all of the male hoopers out there who aren't hiding in the basement with their hoops, but who are proud of their super sexy skills and sharing them with the world! So today I wrote a blog post with videos of my favorite male hoopers. Check it out…
