Connectors for 1/2 inch collapsible hoops?

So my friend and I made plans to made collapsible hoops today. I checkout out the pop rivet kind, but I can find them in the hardware stores (I bought a pop rivet hoop before and I didn't like it very much) so I want to make the kind that have the bungee cord stretched in the hoop. Any ideas on how to connect the hoop with connectors that will allow me to string a elastic through?…See More

"I can't help you in Canada (sorry!) but anyone looking for it in the US can probably find it at Home Depot. That's where I get mine."
