I put my hoop down for a good year or so. Trying to pick it back up again and definitely feeling rusty. Nothing flashy or very interesting, just getting back into it.

Getting so close to free time/practice time

My last final for the semester is on tuesday in modern art history! I'm so close! I'm going to have to spend all day tomorrow studying of course, but I might have to take a few hoop breaks. I've had so much to do for school and have been working so much lately, I can't wait until I have a substantial amount of time to hoop, rather than just go at it for 10 minutes or so a day. I have next weekend requested off from work because I was going to be going out of town, but that got rescheduled so…

So all of the women in my family got together and had a tamalada (tamale making party) today. We made 510 tamales from scratch! Anyway, I brought several hoops along, as well as my LED at my mom's suggestion. She thinks my LED is so cool because she had never heard of such a thing and she wanted me to show it to everyone. Hooping has helped me in so many ways. I've not even been doing it a year, yet it has become such an integral part of my life, and I couldn't imagine myself without it.Of course there are the obvious health benefits of it. My LED hoop got here tonight, and even though I'm exhausted from working all weekend, I can't stop playing with it! I ended up getting the All-lite LED from Fire Mecca for various reasons. First, it was on sale for about $115 when it was regularly around $150, it's collapsible, it has a bunch of different light settings (ranging from solid colors, rainbows, and strobing in all different color combos) which is definitely a worthy trade off for the short battery life (2-3 hrs) for someone like me…
