I find this curious but ultimately I believe only that the sun comes up and then goes down daily and that life on our planet is as curious as the night sky. 2012 is no more curious to me than the bibles predictions of second comings or any other…

I'm looking forward to contributing more to the hoop community this year in the form of - "me"! My hoop space is rather small (I used a wide angle lense when recording) with a light right above my head and barely enough room to swing the hoop around me. So while I'm grateful to have it through the Winter I can't wait to get outside again and really swing out! Maybe I will catch you at the Sports Relief day?

I could offer you some more advice if you e-mail me through solacehoopdancer@yahoo.ca Just let me know what you've tried already, how much time you're willing to devote to this (per day/week, etc) and what you can do already (touch your toes with a straight back/curved back, forward hurdlers stretch touching toes, etc) and I'll do my best to give you a hand!

- Janine: I greatly encourage you to try working on flexibility. As a performer, it's opened up a LOT of new doors for me, and I know it could do the same for you. If you ever need help with stretches (what works, what works for what, and what definitely does NOT work) just message me, and I'd be more than happy to help out! :D

Read your goal and why it's important to you and thought I'd let you know that I can relate. Being your own boss and deciding to make your passions into your life can be hard work and is a tricky business but I have faith that it will all be worth it.
It's always a little awkward when people ask me what I do for a living. Especially since I don't make enough at just ONE job, it's a bunch of mini jobs that consist of performing, teaching, selling hoops, motivational presentations, freelance graphic and web design...
As I continue on this multiple careers path it slowly seems to be becoming possible to combine and live with them all.
