My goal for 2010 is to grow the hoop community in the gulf coast. I believe there are so many people out there that could benefit from what the hoop has to offer. Truly believe I can make a difference if people will open their minds and bodies to experience the joy of the hoop...

What does a title define?

I have been thinking lately alot about titles and definition's of ourselve's as Hoop Dance Instructors or Hoop Dance teachers.. I have felt I am more of a motivator or dare I say Inspiration. I know that is conceded in ways but if you think of what made you want to hoop in the first the place... It was pure and and utter inspiration, from the first time you saw your first Hoop performer and you still look back to those people and ahead for others to spark a flame in your style and take to you…

I am so amazed at the response I have had to what I am doing, I was invited to come out to the YMCA in town after my article in the press register. I made a flyer emailed it to the Y and thats all I had to do besides show up pretty much.(you know scramble out the Door with Hoops and had to stop to have a few things printed)..I was running late as always and so I rushed in expecting a small group 10 or so maybe, instead I had 25 women anxious and ready to hoop..... Was amazing, intimidating, and…

Putting yourself in the Public Eye!

It is an odd feeling to be on stage at times, but when you make your life a circus it put's you in the center ring! Recently having been in the local paper it has brought a new celebrity status to myself and has definitely sparked a curiosity with a lot of people. It is strange for me to have total stranger's approach me, "you are the Hoop Guy!" makes me smile really big and say "Yes I am the Hoop Guy". Such a feeling to bring something to people that gives them happiness.

Here we go, my Hoop Path has put a Huge Spotlight on me now. Letting me know I can not turn back... It is a journey a year ago I didn't know I would be taking... Now my life is is revolving around a circle instead of in circle's...

I thought my Hooper friend's in Birmingham were nuts when they tried to get a hoop on me,Its almost like they knew it was my destiny... Does any one else feel the Hoop chose them?

I have only been hooping for about 6month's and already have had 2 article's…

thanks for the info jay! i will be down for the whole weekend, but unfortunately will only be available after 3, so hopefully you can get that work shift taken care of :) even if there's nothing big going on, i would love to just get together and have some hoop time with local hoopers! i'm free both sat and sun evenings!

hopefully we can work something out! i will definitely give you a shout later this week to try and get it worked out!

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing.  In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes.  All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession.
