"you know i posted almost the same thing but for Return to Roots festival. I am a beginner too and feared the same thing. the people on this forum are awesome and supportive which calmed my nerves a bit. Also, i dont think the hoop…"
Due to college and other stuff I had to put a pause on hooping and poling. Now I'm back and motivated and excited. Hooping gives me a sense of being free. The hoop community is so nice and happy. I am very excited to go to the return to roots festival. If I can find someone to go with. I don't want to go alone. I might drag my husband. He loves music and supports me completely with my hoop and pole passions.
I dont know if i am improving or not. i see my vids and i see some stuff i am getting better at, but i keep trying to get the knee hooping and today i am not successful. maybe i should visit my tutorials
I miss taking classes with you! Let me know if you want to hoop--I'm free nights & weekends most of the time. I go to a dog park in Brooklyn (86th st., close to Verrazano) a lot. I just landed the one shoulder hoop & the duck in & out (where it looks like you're going through a window). It ain't exactly pretty yet, but it's a start! How bout you? How was your pole recital?
I won't be able to next Tuesday (will be working in Philly :( ). Just let me know when you're gonna go to the City to hoop again & we'll meet up (or you can come to the dog park w/ me in Brooklyn...lol).
