asian/middle eastern music

Hello hoopers! I am coming to you with an urgent need for suggested Asian/Middle Eastern music. I am to be having my first fire performance with my belly dance group and I was told it needs to be along those lines since it is an Asian Festival. I need it to be something with strong beats and a moderate tempo and lost of punch!and of course, not too long either..maybe around 3 minutes max.Any suggestions would help.Thank you!JennSee More

First performances coming up, excited?!?!

Sooo....this coming weekend I may have my first fire hoop performance. It is still up in the air right now, but it seems like a "more than likely" sorta thing. I will be dancing to a edited Peter Gabriel song from the Passion of the Christ Soundtrack. It is edited for shorter playing time since it is simply a intro song for my brothers band. I am excited for him too, we will be having first performances together!I am also going to fire hoop with my belly dance group later this month. I am still…See More

"Are you looking for just Tribal Fusion music? Because ATS-style bellydance uses much more authentic folk music than what you have here. But if Beats Antique etc are what float your boat, then all the suggestions below will work for you. You can also…"

Lonely Hooper

Posted on February 7, 2010 at 8:30am 6 Comments

A lonely hooper is rarely a happy hooper, for me anyways.

No one else hoops down here. I try to spread the love, but hardly get any in return.

I need something...since some one isn't something I should look for anymore. I need something that can help me stay inspired. New trick ideas maybe. This is definitely a cry for some help. All I do when I hoop is think about Austin. I plan to move there to continue my education, but I am somewhat scared to do so, only because of the stupid…

Missing It

So I hoop when I get the chance. Lately though, I have been stuck doing homework most of the day. I just want this class to be over with, so I can have more time to unlock inner hooping excitment!

It is all about discovery!

I'm super excited to be a part of this hooping community. Down here where I live, the town is small, and well... so is the amount of info from the outside world. Not a lot of people know about hooping and so far I have met only one other person that has as much love for hooping as I do. I am looking forward to getting out there and meeting more hoopers!
