It's so amazing how quickly a body can adapt when treated nicely, isn't it? Hooping and yoga have bOth helped me to become a more flexible, relaxed person, physically and mentally. It's pretty much awesome. The hooping class you took sounds really interesting!

hi KD! Yea I like the knee hooping when you can really move around and dance too :) When I first got my hoop I practiced for hours at a time about every other day. I work two jobs so I cant seem to squeeze in hours like that anymore. I do it about 30 minutes a day and if I skip days then I need my hoop fix and play around for longer when I do get around to it. But what I have noticed is when I get frustrated learning a new trick I stop and just dance with my hoop until im happy again....then I try the trick and it seems to come faster that way! (Im very hard on myself so when im learning this is really important hehe)

Ya, I have all kinds of toys, I love my poi, and right now, they are top of the list... been doing it for a couple of years now... I'm still also new to hooping, so still loads to learn :) I recently started contact juggling, and its also so much fun... and I now also have a flow wand/levi stick... wow, ya I do hav allot of toys.... :) I will bring them all with on Wednesday...

Oh I forgot to add, that the hoop jams are fun because a few different things are going on, they have a drum circle, so it's improv music, and a few people bring out poi items and viels and they swing those around. and this guy brought out a chinese yo yo. So you'll see a few things that you can try if don't want to hoop the whole time. it's just a neat social thing. I'm planning on going this Wednesday.

I go as much as I can. My attendance is sporadic due to my work schedule (at The Brewery). I tend to hoop at work more than anywhere when the shows are slow. I was am a very bold young hooper I started going to the hoop jams when Caroleena started them back up in January! haha I had only been hoop for a month then. I've probably been to five of the jams?

I love being inside the hoop, it's my private dance space ..or my invisible skirt! I'm trying to find the love for it, I enjoy it a little but it's the most difficult since it takes some arm strength. I got string bean arms! haha
