A Little Bit About Me :)
I began hooping in April of 2008 after returning from the Langerado Music Festival, inspired by the hoopers I saw there! I proceeded to teach myself through youtube videos, watching other hoopers, and relying on my background of gymnastics/dance (I was a gymnast for 11 years!) I got an LED hoop a few months after I started hooping and began to perform informally at shows, festivals, etc. After about a year of hooping I decided to make a fire hoop and fell in love the first time I used it. I love to perform, inspire others, and share the joy I get from the hoop! The hoop is a wonderful means of meditation and relaxation and I hope to continue to practice and perform more this year.
I am currently in school at the community college in Harrisburg studying Physical Sciences. I plan on switching my major to Aerospace Engineering when I transfer to a four-year college. I have a job coaching gymnastics and another working in the chemistry lab at my school, and I make hoops on the side. I love to create, explore, paint, wander, wonder, learn, travel, experiment, and dream. A few of my interests include physics, astronomy, chemistry, geology, fire, live music, reading, camping, hiking, yoga, meditation, caverns, quantum mechanics, energy work, astral projection, lucid dreaming, the universe, philosophy, shopping, make-up, gymnastics, art, lacrosse, photography, and crystals. I particularly enjoy hooping to dubstep, Shpongle, Younger Brother, and anything meditative and expressive. My favorite quote is "Imagination is more important than knowledge." -Albert Einstein
