- What is your goal for 2013 and why is it important? (Doesn't have to be hoop related.)
- My goal for 2013, since 2012 is almost over, is to become certified in hoop teaching. My fiance and i are working on building a bi-level skatepark, where the top floor would consist of a hoop/dance studio and an art studio. I would like to become a hoop teacher not just for revenue, but to spread the amazing art of hoop fitness and hoop dance!
How I became a hooper!
I have been hanging out with hoopers for a couple of months now but then I met this girl named Linzo. She inspired me to pick up my old talents and to get some new ones as well. I picked up one of her hula hoops and messed around with it for a minute. It was pretty fun, exhilarating, and different. I never knew how many things you could do with a hoop until I sat down and watched these girls! It was outstanding. I asked her if I could borrow one until I could get my own. Instead she gave me one and retaped it for my liking because I had been helping her at her building. Within three days of constant hooping, I was able to do at least 5 things just from watching them and trying it. It has been four weeks now and I am able to do knee hooping, one leg in and out, Isolations, The weave, the Vortex, sustained spinning techniques and lots of arm tricks. Its insane how much you can do in so little time if you stay on it and practice. I have also lost about 10-12 pounds and gained ALOT of muscle..... theres is so much to this hoooping thing that I couldn't help but give it a whirl and I woudl consider myself to be a hooper! Its awesome.

StudentNatalie McAnulla said… thats kinda where im at! i got pregnant five months after i started hooping:) but i got hella dizzy when i would try to hoop, so i didnt really hoop the whole pregnany maybe for five minutes here and there....but not really. and then i didnt have any time until the last few months. my son is now ten months old. so i am starting to have time here and there. its sorta hard with him around because i dont want to try any new moves and accidently have the hoop fly off and hurt him. so even though last month was my two year hoopiversary, i only really feel like i have hooped five maybe 6 months total of that. well i enjoyed your vid:) i hope everything goes great for you!!! congratulations on your lil bundle~
