Hey Kimmie,
I haven't got a 'place' to do it yet. I used to out of my loft in Detroit but I'm back at home with my folks. I might be hosting a few workshops in the near future. I'll keep you posted. ;]

Kimmie Cash's Journal

My new hooping sangha

Posted on May 15, 2010 at 3:54pm 0 Comments

I feel so excited and liberated! In my last journal entry, I realized how self-concious I am about my hooping abilites. I have a huge comparison complex and feel this grand need to be as good as everyone else.

But Monday, I joined the Atomic Hoopers for a hoop session in Ann Arbor. It was a really intimate and positiive group of woman. And we PLAYED TOGETHER! I learned new tricks, and helped to teach some of my old tricks. I had so much fun ..... I played with each and every…

Thank you SO MUCH for such a beautiful journal entry! I started this piece as a comment for you. But after tracing my own steps and discovering how touched I was by recalling this journey, I thought I should write a journal entry of my own! Thank you for turning me on to this quest!

I feel exactly the same way that you do when I see hoopers posting their hooping anniversaries. Until today, I really had no idea when I…

My hooping Poem

Posted on February 2, 2010 at 7:30pm 11 Comments

I came accross a poem that I wrote after my first String Cheese festival at Hornings Hideout. (What year was that? I don't know...2003?) I thought that I would share it with you.....

Spin me in a circle and put me in a hoop

That's where I want to be...THIS is where I want to be

In a playground of big kids that will never ever grow up

This is where I find I can really be free

I am always my best when surrounded by dreads

and patchwork and bubbles, these folks…

Do I just overthink things?

I've been trying to figure out some random hand and arm flows for the past few days, and I've been struggling like crazy. For some, I can do the move on one side of my body, but lose control on the other. So I have very slowly been walking myself through each move, trying to remember exactly what I did so that the other side of my body can mirror that.

Then last night ..... I had a beer .... saw my hoops on the living room floor ...... picked one up ..... TAAADAAAA!!! All these moves…
