I'm stuck in a loop with the hula hoop. When I was a little girl I was abused in every which way. Often I was grounded to my bedroom, with two bathroom visits and a dinner release. In my bedroom held my boom box. Loud music would draw my angry step father towards my room. But I had to dance, so from a young age I would take a few preventable beatings so I could dance in my bedroom. Pretending I'm dancing on stage with Brain Setzer, I had trained myself to ingore reality while I dance. Even…

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing. In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes. All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession. I was so upset ,not for myself, but my students would have nothing to take class with. There…

(altho, it seems odd that ive hooked up many leds individually that are rated less voltage (the solids, flashing RGBs) that dont blow up.)
i kinda figured if i connect them in parallel that it didnt matter how many i had hooked up.
geez, i wish i knew more about this stuff!
anyways, im gonna get a voltage meter tonight to test my batteries just incase, and then ill try and string 5 up to the battery and see what happens.
i sure hope i dont blow out another bunch of leds! wish me luck!!
thanks again, benaequee, youre always so nice to help me out with this stuff!
im the one that you helped out with info to order leds, etc in your posted discussion---
--Just finished making my LED Twins!--
i had a problem yesterday, so i hope you dont mind if i ask you about it.
i ordered those firefly leds from lighted lifestyle and started to build my hoop. i hooked up one firefly to a 3.6V battery and it blew!! acccording to lighted lifestyles specs on their ebay page, (Forward voltage: 3.5-4.5 Forward current: 30mA) i dont think that should have happened. im scared to blow up any more (they are pricey!) so i wanted to ask you if you used any resistors with your 3.6V battery and fireflies? im a little baffled as to why the led blew, ive hooked up leds that have a lower voltage rating to the 3.6V battery and they dont blow. im not sure what to do. ive asked lighted lifestyles and they never reply to emails, so i thought id see if you had any thoughts or suggestions since youve used these leds with success.
much thanks,
beth
