When did you first start hooping? Was doing it very sporadically from October 2007 until about March 2010, now I try to do it at least three/four times a week.

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? I'd say I'm just beyond the beginner stage and entering the intermediate stage.

How often do you hoop? As often as I can. I'm super bashful about hooping in front of people so it's REALLY hard for me to go outside and just give her, so I stay inside my apartment and it really limits me to what tricks I can play around with.

Do you have an indoor hoop space? The apartment, and yes, it's very awkward.

Is there a hoop group where you live? I'm sure there is, I just have a hard time finding it.

Did you start it? Nope but I'm thinking maybe I should...

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? I'm definitely addicted!

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? None yet, I'm pretty shy - maybe one day when I think I'm good enough. :)

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? NONE of my friends here hoop, I really need to meet more people that are as into it as I am.

Do you teach hooping? Nope

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? Everything! Totally depends on my mood - Metal, Alternative, Hip Hop, Trance, Dance, Electro, etc etc

Do you buy hoops or make your own? Just learnt how to make my own!

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? I think I have a little bit actually

What size is your favorite hoop? The new one I just made - about a 34" diameter, 160 psi 3/4"

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? No way! *hides*

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? YouTube videos, Safire online classes

Who is your favorite hoop teacher? Safire

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? Just keep at it, it's so easy to get frustrated when you don't catch onto a certain trick - but you'll get better, I promise!

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? Not yet, but I think I'm about ready to!

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? Yep, bought a rainbow Trick Concepts hoop.

How much time do you spend on safiredance.ning? Every lunch hour, all the time when I get home.

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? passing it around the back and moving around with it - I was so excited! *LOL*

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? Angle hooping! That was my Everest!

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? I cannot, I repeat, cannot hoop on the chest in the opposite direction!

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? I'm sure there are more than I know about, I just have to seek them out.

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Not yet, maybe one day. :)

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? I bruise like a freaking peach - I bruised on my entire hip when I first learnt how to waist hoop, and then bruised alllll over my legs when I learnt how to leg hoop.

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? I definitely plan on hitting Hoop Camp and Hoop Convergence in 2012.
