What is your goal for 2012 and why is it important? (Doesn't have to be hoop related.)
Get good enough healthy to be able to get a part time job. Until my health improves my dream of buying some land and building a tyre house just seems further and further away, so I have to get healthy, I have to make that happen. I also want to start up regular hoop classes for Adults and another for kids, but again it all depends on not being sick.

That was just what I needed! I wasn't sure how to handle the hole part. I'm going to try making some as soon as I finish a scarf I'm making for my sister! I love to knit but I'm not a "natural" knitter yet. I can make up crochet patterns pretty easily (I learned to crochet as a child but took up knitting as an adult, & somehow crochet just seems more straightforward). But shaping knits is still a little tricky for me. Thanks so much for the help!

Hey, I just saw on the kick-up discussion that you've knitted yourself some ankle warmers. I need some of those! Could you possibly point me to a pattern? I see you're a knitting pro so I'll understand if you created the pattern & want to keep that proprietary.. but if you are willing I would surely appreciate it!

I gained 15 lbs since the beginning of November! The one plus with that is I'm all busty now although my clothes don't fit. That sugar is hard to get off of after the holidays, I didn't really even eat that much but that doesn't seem to matter. I'm having a little bit of energy return to me and am feeling positive about the coming year.

I went back and read my post what it was that was difficult for you to read. One thing I sure know now is that the best of us can feel frustrated and down when we are given so much grief from our bodies. This is SO hard to deal with. A friend of mine and I have decided that lowering our expectations is the way to go, or that's what we say to have a good laugh at it all. We both have had a lot of big dreams for our lives and have done some cool things but the frustrations have been long and many.

I'm off to go for a stroll,
I'm thinking about you :)

Hey, how is your new year? I haven't touched a hoop much but have walked a little bit. Ate WAY too much chocolate (including my sons) and am trying to detox from all the sugar.

Sorry for all the times I drop off the face of the Earth and don't respond to messages. I guess when I'm down, I'm really down for the count.

Hey lovely,

Hows it going? Cheers for the heads up on the website details, the actual site needs sorting out too. Loving the hats, especially the pirate one. That must be pretty complicated to do! I'm so busy at the moment - really looking forward to the calm of new year - bring it on! Buckets of love n hugs xxxxx

Swing was fun but I had to try and forget my moves that are deeply embedded in my brain. When I was in grade 7, we had dancing for gym class. I got so good at the swing that I volunteered to do the guy's part and help teach some other girls. Forever after I only remembered the man's moves! I found it very hard to be led by my partner, especially when they wanted me to read their mind instead of leading me into what they were doing! I was so sore for days that I doubt I'll go again until I gain more strength.

The last several days I've been battling the flu. Hey, I just realized it's been a week since I last replied to you! How the heck does that happen?

I hope you've had a good week? I made some minis out of a piece of tubing my son cut without asking and they are way too small and way too wide (19inch and 3/4) but I can still play with them. I have a theory that they can't be much bigger than the length of your arm or you'll get hit with them? I wish there was somewhere I could use all sizes of hoops to know which ones I prefer.

I don't know if I'll get to see snow because Victoria seems to be a snow free zone. The rest if the island gets it but for some reason rarely us. I would love to go skiing but I doubt I'm up to it yet. If I do see snow, though I will take some pictures for you. I really enjoyed the first video, at first I was excited because I thought it was you! It also made me happy that there is such a range of things to do.

So this video is where you met Jon? How cute! What a lovely video, makes me want to come and join in.

I can relate to Jon not being a performer. I hate people looking at me as well. That's why I worked backstage at the theatre and not onstage. I did hoop a little at a Halloween party and a woman told me how much she loved watching me. It made me feel pretty good.

On an unrelated note, I went swing dancing last night. Ouch is all I can say about that.
