"BAH!  I hate that argument.  One hooper, goes through instruction, becomes a teacher, hoops for 10 years.  Another hooper picks up a walmart special and learns a couple of tricks online.  Should they be working at the same…"

"this is incredibly variable depending on the city. i never go lower than $50 an hour, but in small cities, that's the best i will get. rate goes up to $150/hr for bigger cities...and up and up. just never go too low, or other hoopers will get…"

"Yes, if you know how many people are expected to be there, then charge $1-$2 per person.  If you don't know how many people are going to be there, I'd suggest charging at least $100 for the hour.  Most performers will tell you…"

Bearclaw Manufacturing - Tedward replied to the discussion 'What is the going rate for performances and other events?'
"I think the real answer is that you need to charge enough that you feel good about what you're getting but no so much that you lose more than half your potential customers.  Here in LA, hoop shows range from $100 to $250 per half hour per…"

"You can keep using your gaff tape. I have hardwood floors at home. Forget the Mr. Clean. Grab a can of WD-40 and scrub those marks with a tennis ball. It works like a dream."

HeLp!! Gaffer tape leaving marks!

Hey Hoopers!I am a hoop teacher, and I make my own hoops. A few of my new ones are made with gaffer tape, which is causing a major problem with my rental space because it is leaving marks on the floor that are difficult to get off. Does anyone know how to get this off of floors without damaging the floor? I was told if this does not get resolved that they will cancel my program  :(  Hope someone can give me some advice! Thanks!See More
