As a child, this November holiday is a wonderful celebration of family and food, a gathering of relatives seldom seen and a serious feasting on turkey and green bean casserole (a tradition that has actually died in a few short years in my mothers home..)



However, as I have grown, the nature of the celebration has somewhat changed and lent itself to a more thoughtful and personal approach--an opportunity to discover more about myself in relation to those things that have really made…  

after a lovely lady pointed out some positive words (thank you jana :) ) i think this post needs some editing, so here it goes a-fresh...



sometime last night my grandfather passed away and although i knew it was coming (he has had alzheimers and has refused to even eat the past two days), it took me by suprise and i shut down momentarily. my plate is full, and an extra helping of turkey dinner (i am a vegetarian by the way) just finally threw me for a loop.

I think probably the most common question ive come across since all this began is "why do you do it?" and it's never an easy question to answer because there are just so many answers. health. fitness. friends.



but just recently have i really discovered how much the hoop means to me.



i've been under immense stress for the past several months, and it seems like things just keep piling up, one bad thing after the other. yet, somehow, ive managed to (for the most part) keep my…  

i hooped on one leg tonight :)

Everything is happening very quickly! And I am loving every minute of it!

I feel like we have finally gotten the lift off we needed with the article in the paper. From there, it seems that people and opportunities are just being handed to us. I am mostly excited about new connections that are being made and cannot wait to see where this whole thing goes...
