My one and only hoop broke this weekend. *sigh*. I made it myself and it was beat up pretty wicked so I knew it would happen eventually. I'm thinking of buying my next hoop. I don't want a heavy…

I haven't posted for a very long time, but I have something worth sharing. In the last couple of years, I have advanced enough to start teaching and I absolutley love my classes. All my students are wonderful its the most favorite part of my week. Through a very unfortunate series of events, every hoop I own, including my hoops for students, were taken and no longer in my possession. I was so upset ,not for myself, but my students would have nothing to take class with. There…

Its been 8 months since I started hooping and everyday I want to learn more.
When I first started. I was happy just to be able to do basic moves and move around in my hoop. It felt euphoric and theraputical. Now I want to be able to do every trick I see. I never hoop in front of a mirror or video myself hooping, even…

Its the hoop I started with and I don't own any other. . So far I can hoop on the waist, hips, chest, shoulders, neck, do some corkscrews, and some verticle step throughs. That's about it. I would really like to expand my skill and flow... what classes (online or dvd or whatever) do you reccommend to get me to the next level.…

I started hooping on April 14, 2010....and its changing my life. I have always loved dancing and I was looking for bellydance classes in my area that I could fit into my work schedule, but I had no luck. I live in an unheard of county in Florida where there is practically no exposure for anything cultural. Tampa is 55 miles away... Orlando is 60. So if I wanted to take lessons I would have to travel. This was not something I could accomplish because I worked so many long hours. I began to…
