How old are you? Old-ish...
When did you first start hooping? Hrmm...I think it was late July or early August of this year. Whoo hoo! Newbie!
Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? I'm a solid beginner. I know some intermediate stuff, but I still consider myself a beginner.
How often do you hoop? Whenever I can. It's been hard recently because of the move, but I'm going to get back into it soon :3
Do you have an indoor hoop space? YES! I am so excited for all the boxes to be unpacked so Tyler and I can rock it out inside.
Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? Oh yes. I'm rather lucky in that department. Boston/Medford spinners kick ass!
Do you buy hoops or make your own? My boyfriend and I make our own, but when it comes to LED hoops I'm going to have to buy one.
Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? A little. I've put on more muscle, though.
What size is your favorite hoop? 36". It's a rainbow!
How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? My boyfriend taught me. He's awesome ^_^
Who is your favorite hoop teacher? Well, Tyler. He's taught me almost everything I know XD
What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? DOOON'T STOP...BELIEVINNN'!!!
What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? Front lifts, and a very wobbly vortex.
What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? Leg hooping, and jump-ins.
Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? Ehh, probably the trick where you're hooping on your neck and then duck your head out and it swivels on your shoulders. Then again, I'm too chicken to try it because I don't want to break my glasses XD!!
How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? Loads.
What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? OH DUDE. One time I was at a spin jam, and all the warning I had was "Head's up!". Next thing I knew, one of Tyler's hoops crash-banged straight onto my neck and shoulder. It almost knocked me out. As for injuries I've given myself? I dunno, I've hit myself in the head a few times :P

Art Block Dilemma/ Musings

I've been in this really weird art block/ depressive funk for the past month or so, and it's affecting my hooping and poi spinning as well. I didn't understand why I couldn't create anything, but after some speculation and really emotional, tearful nights I feel like I've come to some sort of conclusion.
My goal right now as both an artist and as a spinner is to wow people. I want to make something that will elicit an emotion, ANY emotion out of somebody, instead of just looking upon…
