Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? intermediate

How often do you hoop? everyday...

Do you have an indoor hoop space? my living room.. hard to do off body tricks but i manage.

Is there a hoop group where you live? No - i'm trying hard to start one though.

Did you start it? wanting to.

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? absolutely. i have so many but i always want more and want to learn new harder tricks daily.

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? ya, like 3?

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? yep... i had to get someone else addicted too.

Do you teach hooping? not pro, but i do for my friends and ppl that i try to get into hooping.

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? grateful dead, animal collective, imogen heap, some techno, can, fortet, occassionally metal when i'm needing some crazy rage hoop sesh...

What is your favorite song right now? too many...

Do you buy hoops or make your own? I bought my first one but now make all mine and for anyone that wants them.

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? Not really, i started shortly after i had my baby girl and it's been great to see myself tone up.

What size is your favorite hoop? 3/4" 160 psi 36" or smaller.. i love my tiny hoops.

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? absolutely. any chance to get ppl into hooping i'm down for it.

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? youtube, hoopcity, learning from other hoopers, and making 'em up.

Who is your favorite hoop teacher? Everyone.. ha.. ummm... sphongled hoops, safire, breken... lots.

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? practice a lot. it's frustrating at times but its so worth it once you nail a trick that you've been workin on forever.

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? not yet but i'm planning on getting one.

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? yep. trickconcepts.com wanted a psi of course but i don't have that much money to throw down on a hoop at this point. lol.

How much time do you spend on Hoop City Hooping Community? not a whole lot. i don't have internet at my place.

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? besides the basics.. prolly one leg hooping. i was so stoked!

What is the last trick you mastered? isopops and paddeling... not "mastered" but i've got the basics to it down. just getting it smoothed out now.

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? isopops and the shoulder change. frustrating.

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? the butterfly with poi hoops. actually a lot of poi hooping tricks... that's hard. oh ya and kick starting a hoop while hooping on the chest and arm... so hard!

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? well hoopers that i know... 8 plus maybe? but i'm finding out about more ppl on here... yay!

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? ya, my boy and i have fire jams and etc with friends where we chill and spin and hoop for friends. i go to the park occassionally and just anywhere i find inspiring to hoop.

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? nope, if they did i would show them a vid of my ma doing it... yep.

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? stretched muscles too far so my arms and back have been swollen at times. messed up my ankle once. cracked my ear and lip pretty bad. oh and i've lost my hoop n hit my little girl too many times... that makes ya cry but she is a trooper and loves playing with my hoops still.

Have you ever hooped naked? lots. it's the best way to learn tricks cause of the grip you get from skin to hoop contact.

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? not really... hoop workshop at schwagstock but not a camp/retreat. someday though.
