I was just inspired to stop by your profile and realized you are in Bakersfield! My friend, Julie, is in Bakersfield and is looking for a hoop class/community there. She's been seeing and hearing all about how amazing learning to hoop and hoop dance has been for me and she wants to get started, too. In fact, I talked to her this morning and she asked me again if I knew any hoop dancers in Bakersfield. And tonight I notice that is where you are from.

How cool you're into art dolls too!! Like hooping, when I discovered dollmaking I was hooked :) Susanna Oroyan books are helpful when you're first learning and there's so much stuff online too, there's some good video tutorials on youtube.

Doing good so far. I'm also new to hooping. I can do a few tricks... poorly. And I have a bunch of bruises. Haha. But overall awesome. We should get together sometime.

Believe it or not NO! Too much else going on. But I'm dying to see it-- early next week I hope!
