Started this discussion. Last reply by Tilly Whirls May 7, 2012. 10 Replies

I picked up hooping a couple weeks ago, but I haven't been able to make much progress.  I bought a small adult hoop from Canyon Hoops. The hoop is 38" about 1.5lbs. I did a decent amount of research…

"The reason heavy, large hoops are recommended for new hoopers is because you don't have to work as hard to build up momentum. The more momentum built up, the less likely the hoop will start to fall (like while chest hooping or knee hooping). As…"

"Umm I'd say polypro if your hoop is bruising everytime you use it. You should only get your first round or 2 of initiation bruises. I'm pretty sure moodhoops makes day hoops, and I know superhooper does, and I've heard good things…"

"Sounds like you should try a polypro hoop. You can get a 'clear' one for a reasonable price from Discount Hoop Supplies ( http://hoopsupplies.com/shop/?id=27&collid=101 )."
