You might say the thoughts have been revolving in my mind non-stop... this thing that I'm doing, making hoops, teaching people, (hopefully) inspiring them... it's got to be something more. It's not just a hobby, it's a passion. It's calling to my heart of hearts stronger than anything has before, but what do I call this "thing".

It occured to me the other day that while I was making continued progress mastering more and more moves, and started to find new and interesting flow between those moves I had yet to master anything on my second side. Yes, I could break and reverse around my waist on my second side, but I had never even tried to paddle, or turn, or ANYthing else in reverse. So I set out to the task of practing to the right.

I started hooping in the summer of 2009. At first I was into hooping because I thought it looked cool and was a fun way to play with movement/dance. I had belly danced before and found there was a lot of similarities in body movement. I knew a few hoopers in my area, but not very well, and it was intimidating asking them to teach me.
