Um...late August 2010 I think!

Beginner

How often do you hoop?
Daily, from half an hour sessions right up to ones where I lose hours

Not yet....

I may just do that

Have you posted hooping videos? How many?
I have about a dozen on youtube and my guitar's facebook account (yeah, my guitar has a page!)

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with?
Not yet, I need to stop being shy and start hoopwoking

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught?
Self taught but want some lessons too - I taught my boss's wife how to core hoop

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping?
All sorts, from ambient to bluegrass to roots reggae to metal, depends on my mood

What is your favorite song right now?
To hoop to it's Moving On by Dreadzone (second favourite being Everyday Sunshine by Fishbone)

Do you buy hoops or make your own?
Buying at the moment but when funds aren't tight I am going to make oooooodles of them.

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop?
Oh heck yeah AND gained muscle tone (my belly is still pokey out but there are springs in the old mattress now!)

What size is your favorite hoop?
In centimetres it's 130cm.

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place?
Not yet

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today?
Youtube and very detailed instructions from friends via messages

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers?
Keep spinning, the hoop is only at your feet temporarily - it shall spin again.

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to?
No & yes I do!

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it?
Don't have one yet but will get one.

How much time do you spend on Hoop City Hooping Community?
About an hour a day, I am finding I prefer it here to facebook more & more

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)?
Spinning on one extended leg (not sure what it's called)

What is the last trick you mastered?
Revolving door

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn?
Isolations!!!!

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get?
It's a tie, vortex and lift up from core (aint quitting trying tho!)

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city?
No idea at present, I shall start networking soon!

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience?
Yes, in front of my workmates and their children (see photo section for boss's daughter with my fluro green hoop if you wanna)

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop?
Not yet, one contact called it 'Girly Sh#t' but that's about it (water offa ducks raincoat that is!)

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop?
Bruised hip but that's about it so far.

Have you ever hooped naked?
Yeeees but that was kinda fail, undies and lights out is safer :D

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one?
Haven't been yet BUT if I can get my shizz together next year I am going to fly to the U.S for a retreat!
