So nice of you to "friend" me. I would have responded sooner, but was preparing for "Irene". How was it in Basking Ridge? I just started hooping a couple of weeks ago. I love it even though I'm not doing much. I hoop in both directions, do one arm overhead,& can transfer to the other. Sometimes that move goes really well, & other times the transfer isn't so great. So, I start over. I've been trying to do knee hooping, but that hasn't been going too well. I did sign up for the Seeding Series with Safire, & received my invite for class on Friday. I've been looking at some of her tutorials on youtube for the past two weeks too. I "rediscovered" hooping from my daughter(in-law, Rebecca DeShon, HoopEssence) last November. She talked about Hoop City, & Safire, which peaked my interest. I love physical activity & dancing, so it seemed a perfect fit. Since, I'll be in all day thanks to "Irene" I plan to get going on the classes. Love your video from Thurs. Hope all is well in Basking Ridge ♡

Hi! Thanks for 'friending' me! A girlfriend gave me her hoop at the end of July and I've had so much fun with it - first keeping it up, hooping in both directions, finally moving around. I love moving all around the room but desire to hoop dance like the girls on You Tube! Found this site through a plug from SaFire on You Tube :) Been feeing a bit frustrated not picking up new tricks and quite static - no flow - and bopping myself on the head as a result of lack of confidence! Looking forward to working my way

Aw, thank you! A lot of my clothes are hand-me-downs from my mother or my own creation. The flare pants are from Desert Dancer, and the black cross top is from Buddahful. Happy hooping!

LOL Thanks for the comments. I think that is someone buys the hoop, they somewhat have "adopted" it and what ever dings and scratches they put on the tape jobs add their own personally touch/character to it. Obviously I would rather them not be scratched or dinged, but then they would just be wall hangars like you mentioned. I would rather they be used heavily and be one of their favorites and comfortable with it like a old pair of warm slippers. :)

Just wanted to share that I also always charge less for my "not perfect" hoops. Even if it is just a tiny error I take money off. I feel it is good karma and I think good business (although some might argue that). As for the yahoos that feel you are over pricing your hoops, that's fine, they can think that. You know better. What I do to combat this is offer the instructions on how to make their own hoop. This makes me feel good because they know I'm not only selling hoops, but simply interested in spreading the hoop love! Maybe it will work for you too!
