Kiwi: Week 2

My ugly bruises have healed - Yeah! I have to recommend the wonderful healing jell - oher hoopers suggested: Arnica Jell.  I found it at my local health food store - and I think it did help soothe and heal the bruising faster.  O.K., so my general waist hooping has improved.  I'm more fluid and relaxed - even my husband noticed I'm hooping smoother - not so jerky and spastic. My Progress Week 2:  I can waist hoop with ease spinning to the right and to the left.  It takes less effort to keep it…See More

"By all means try out another hoop! And yes to arnica creme/gel. Bruising comes with learning no matter what size hoop. Your body will get used to having a hard plastic wrap around it for hours on end. I usually take a break in the winter, just lack…"

All the many utube hoopers - thank you! I'm a childhood hooper from the 60's...rediscovering adult hooping.

Style: hooping for exercise...I like simple flow - with soul and grace.

Learn the basics...just keep on hooping...and recruit fellow hipster friends to hoop at the beach.

Kiwi: My First Adult Hoop - Day 1

My green and yellow "budget hoop" arrived the other day from Hipster Hoops!  After researching all the different weights and sizes, I selected one that's about 41 or 42 inches around, and comes a little above my belly button, and it's 160 psi.  I decided to give my hoop the name of "Kiwi" because of the colors: bright green gaffer tape, and yellow vinyl - it just remind me of a yummy ripe kiwi.  After cutting off the packaging material, I was able to unfold the hoop easily, as it was shipped…
