What's your favourite hoop size and why?

I'm still trying to decide mine, so just wondering what others are liking! The more I have downsized the more restricted I feel when I do give my 36" plus a spin. Kind of makes me feel a bit sad?…

"Woo, update - I got the scissor switch :)  Though I can't do a single reversal one, I can do the double where you go back into your first current. But its progress!"

"Yes, like others have said its completely normal to not know how to flow from one thing to another in the beginning :) I would say it took me about 6 months to find a kind of flow, and that was when I practiced near enough everyday for around an…"

"Oooo, that would be fantastic! If you get the time I would be very grateful :)I am using the tutorial in Safire's minis class, but so far it isn't clicking... perhaps a different explanation would help it fall into place."

"I usually have a few goals to focus on as it keeps things more interesting and less frustrating... 1) Single scissor switch knee reversal (I finally had a lightbulb moment with this, as it had been stumping me for a while! Got the basic idea now,…"

"This sounds awesome! You should post a progress video some day? I like reading your blogs, they are inspiring me with my own minis practice. I still haven't gotten around to using poi yet but will hopefully try soon. What size minis do you use…"

"Your breaks are just bad-ass ninja! Very inspiring! at 0.53 You go so fast, I am guessing you do a combination of above and below arm breaks? You look like you also break it lower down at the waist too, using both hands/arms? Man I just love it.…"

" 1) Scissor Switch Knee reversal.  2) Backwards 3 beat weave with mini hoops (and generally get confident, keep learning & flow with minis) 3) Pizza tosses... so that I actually catch the hoop *most* of the time :P"

"Thanks for the suggestions :) I guess I should get myself some poi sooner rather than later, as it sounds like it will ultimately help me with the minis. I am glad to hear that poi is easier! I am looking forward to getting confident and fluid using…"

"I go between 36" and 34" but more often than not the 36"If I ever go for a LED hoop and 35" is offered I'll just go with that since I can't make up my mind. "

Rain, rain, rain.

So much rain here (London, UK) in the past 2 and a half weeks, it's meant that proper practice has been halted :( I had a quick one yesterday and I was kind of sloppy. Sigh. In the meantime I've been trying to focus on skills I can do in my indoor space, like chest breaks and reversals. This is something, but I feel like the weather is killing my flow! I'm still pretty new to hooping so if I don't keep up my practice it feels like I 'forget' certain things. Sunshine soon, please?
