Awhile ago you asked me about protective tape and I'm happy to say I finally found a cheaper alternative to the ones offered on Identi-tape.com. I bought a roll of 1" clear vinyl off of ebay for $1.99 and it's pretty easy to work with & doesn't dull the sparkle tape too much. Looks like that particular seller doesn't have any more, but I see some others listed for cheap. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the heads up on that. Funny how I missed this topic because I looked and looked and only found fairly good reviews, especially for a low-cost LED hoop. I was confused regarding my order (how to place the fireflies), and emailed him just to confirm I ordered right. He got back to me two days later and cleared it up, but was very accomodating in his email, assurring me not to worry about the cost difference just to make sure I get the hoop I wanted and we can sort something out later (the misunderstanding was my fault).

I know, Cosmic Rob's hoops are divine, and not too too high priced, but still a little high for me. Next time!

i have no regrets about getting a hoop that splits...it's a 36" hoop that splits into 2 18" minis. I LOVE IT!...especially because minis are my new obsession...it's great to have an awesome LED hoop and a pair of awesome minis all in one! as far as the weight of the hoop....rob makes really light hoops as it is, so it's not an issue. and the batteries are counterweighted so the hoop is balanced...I really love my hoop. hope that helps!

im on a delta flight that gets to NC around 11am. under the shop on this site i found hoop huggies which are pretty much cloth bags that fit around your hoops for transport. im going to get one of those i think and check them all together, hopefully they wont get beat up in cargo area. i signed up for a cabin so im going to bring all my other stuff in a big camp pack. hopefully works out! cant wait.
