When did you first start hooping? 2001

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? Intermediate/Advanced ---with moments.

How often do you hoop? Everyday...time is always different.

Do you have an indoor hoop space? Not very good space, I use my living room now...but in our new home I have tons and tons of room!!

Is there a hoop group where you live? Yes!

Did you start it? No

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? That's an easy YES!!

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? I have but not on a big site like Tribe...just on my own.

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? I do but they are not that envolved.

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught? I don't formally teach...but I have taught countless people.

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? I love Robert Randolph, Cheese, Keller, Primus, Disco Bis., anything 70"s funk, and really so so much more. Right now Baka Beyond is always being played, I am morphing to more of a ballet-romantic style of hoop dance.

What is your favorite song right now? mmmmmm tooo many but I am diggin "Mister Bass Man" by Fatback band

Do you buy hoops or make your own? Make my own

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? Not really...I am skinny already. I have toned and got some badass abs!!!

What size is your favorite hoop? Rainbow hoop inspired by Pink Floyd's Prism....40 inch 100 PSI
Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? oh yeah...no problemo

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? YouTube, Safire....but mostly on my own.

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? It's going to hurt at first....and you will feel dumb at times.....you will think you have no flow and look horrible compared all other hoopers..... have a hard time mastering certain moves and you will be tempted to throw your hoop and quit.....but after tons of practice and guidance you will have a break-thru moment where it all comes together and all that hard work will set you free.

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? I used to a long time ago....but don't much anymore for lack of place to do so. Strict fire codes where I live (tree city usa) and they look down upon that.

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? Yes!! I got it from a friend who owns a online LED Hoop store.

How much time do you spend on safiredance.ning? hours and hours.

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? I think it was a duck in

What is the last trick you mastered? barrel stale into a pop flip

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? bring the hoop back up from knee hooping
Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? getting that dang hoop up my body smoothly....I am too dang boney and skinny!! Grip tape does help.

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? besides the ones I turned on...I don't know of any!!

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Yes at festivals and art fairs/shows/breweries etc...

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? No and I hope they don't....cause I will have something to say.

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? I seriously about broke my nose.

Have you ever hooped naked? Many many times....my husband loves it!!

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? I went to a retreat in 2004 in Louisville Ky. but it was also for artists of all kinds---performers---not just hula hoops.
