How old are you? 19

When did you first start hooping? April 2009 I believe

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? probably between beginner and intermediate

How often do you hoop? unfortunately only a few times in the last month and a half because I just haven't had the space or time with the move but generally about 2 or 3 times a week

Do you have an indoor hoop space? If I cleared out the living room in our old house it was great because it was pretty big and the ceiling were highish. now, in the smaller apartment, i think I'll still be able to, but it's going to be tight.

Is there a hoop group where you live? No

Did you start it? N/A

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? Well, if I see a hoop, anywhere, anytime, I get this fiening type of feeling and I have to go and play with it...so i guess that's a yes :)

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? Not yet, but I should have one posted in the next couple of weeks

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? nope :(

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught? Well, I've taught a friend a couple of things but professionally, not yet, but I hope to one day!

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? I like peppy, happy stuff with a good beat and slower, feel good music with a good beat

What is your favorite song right now? I've never been able to answer the "favorite song" question... I just never have one

Do you buy hoops or make your own? I bought my first hoop and I made my second (although I never finished it, because it's not taped) and that's all I have so far, but I'm planning on a DIY route from now on because I can do it for really cheap, and cheap is important to me right now lol

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? Not really, but when I start hooping frequently it does tone me up

What size is your favorite hoop? 1/2 inch 160psi 40"

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? I don't think I've done it yet because I always have someone with me, but I don't think I would have a problem with it at all

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? Youtube, lot's of practice and trial and error

Who is your favorite hoop teacher? Safire so far but she's probably going to be hard to beat :)

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? Keep at it!

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? Not yet but yes, yes and 100 times more yes! I'm waiting to be able to afford a fire hoop right now.

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? Not yet, but I plan on getting one in the future

How much time do you spend on Hoop City Hooping Community? An excessive amount lol probably, on average, 3 or 4 hours a day and it keeps increasing

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? Lifting the hoop off my waist and into a lasso and it was PHENOMENAL! Best feeling ever!

What is the last trick you mastered? Shoulder hooping

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? Knee hooping. It still gives me fits sometimes.

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? I've never really found one impossible to get because I try not to use the word impossible. When I want to learn a new trick I just go at it and keep at it, usually it only takes a couple days. However, the kick start I can only do like 1/20 times so I'd say it's pretty close

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? None that I've found. Not here or where I used to live. I'm a lonely hooper :(

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Yes, for groups of friends and friends of friends a lot but I was also hired to hoop at a club for a birthday party.

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? Nah

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? Lots of bruises and a few good smacks to the face

Have you ever hooped naked? Not yet, but now that my husband and I live in an apartment by ourselves instead of a house with roommates, I think I will be frequenting that territory :p

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? Not yet, but would love to some day when I get the money
