.5 to 1 hour a day on average

That's putting it mildly...

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with?
Yes, my friend Brittney (aka TigerLilly) and her sister Leeza, and Elma (Nasty La Freak) have gotten into hooping as well... Also Robin Marie has moved to my town recentally too

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught?
Yes I do. I have about regular 10 students. I teach anyone who wants to learn!

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping?
Bob Marley, Radiohead, MIA, Bon Iver, Sublime, Incubus, Santigold... anything I enjoy with a good beat.

Do you buy hoops or make your own?
Make my own

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop?
Yes, but I still have a ways to go

What size is your favorite hoop?
My fav is 1/2" 125 psi 36" diameter

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place?

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers?
Yes, you CAN hula hoop! You're going to drop the hoop, and you're going to smack yourself in the head with it, it's unavoidable... But don't give up! Once you get a trick once, no matter how bad it looks, you know you've got the basic move down, all you need to do it fine tune it.

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to?
Yes, I love it!!!

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it?
Yes! I have a psi! It is 36" diameter made with 7/8 HDPE tubing. 20 LEDs in total.. 8 rainbow riders, 12 dragonflies. It's a work of art.

How much time do you spend on HopCity?
too much :)

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)?
Stalls and lasso

What is the last trick you mastered?
Backspin to one leg hooping!!

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn?
Shoulder hooping was very hard for me to pick up. But I got it eventually.

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get?
Multi-hooping on different parts of my core.  So far, I can only multi-hoop with one on my core and 1 or 2 off body hooping

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city?
Well 3 that lives in my actual town, but there a few more in nearby towns. Most of my students are two towns over.

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience?
Yes

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop?
No

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop?
Right shoulder pains from lifting and vortexing. Also got some killer bruises while learning to knee hoop. I knocked myself upside the head so hard once that it actually knocked out the ball from my CBR jewelry in my conch piercing.

Have you ever hooped naked?
Yes :)

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one?
No. I would love that though
