Hoop Addict!

Posted on March 23, 2010 at 8:04pm 4 Comments

Okay, so I bought my first adult-sized handmade 40" hulahoop ever from http://taravhoops.etsy.com late last year. I was immediately hooked! Soooo much easier than the toy hoop I bought from Target and had been using for standard waist hooping!

So then I bought another hoop from TaraVHoops, this one a 38" because I was obsessed. Then I wanted a pair of twins for attempting hand hooping, and custom ordered a pair of red/purple lighter hoops.…

OK, small fridges are available for a charge of $5 a day. They will bring the fridge to your room. Here's the direct number for the hotel if you want to reserve one: 919 929 2171. Hope that helps!

Taina, I'll get on this today. (Busy weekend!) Just so you know for now, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market are within walking distance of the hotel so organic, vegetarian and vegan options are readily available. Within a 10 minute drive you will find Weaver Street Market (where all of the hooping began in Carrboro) and a load of very good, not so expensive, restaurants and cafes. I'll find out about the hotel fridge shortly and get back to you.

Taina, I'll write more fully tomorrow, but know that Carrboro/Chapel Hill is a very vegetarian friendly place. We'll provide you (and all of the attendees) with a list of good restaurants and places to purchase food. Trader Joe's is right across the street from the hotel so that will be a start. I'll call the hotel to check whether or not there are fridges in the rooms and get back to you.

Looking forward to meeting you! Let me know if you have any questions or need anything while you're in Carrboro. It's a sweet little town.

thanks! and no, the white hoops aren't LED hoops - they are made with PPE tubing which is super light and makes the hoop a bit bouncier and more flexible than normal tubing.

Is it bad that I want to dress like Michael Jonzun for the Parade? Hey, the ensemble matches my newest hoop!
