- Who is your hoop mamma or papa? (The person who introduced you to hooping)
- Don't have one was sort of shunned for a long time till people figured me out a bit. ( Male hooper, big guy, disabled, etc)
- Who's hoop style do you love? i.e. Who inspires you?
- I have never seen a style I emulate. Certainly Caroleena was one of my first teachers at wildfire, but largely I carved my own style out by practicing 2-3 hours a day. I tend to do more off body than on but I do enter on body phases and I love doing both. I also started doing doubles for a long time but I am back to preferring single hoop only using smaller 20 inch single hoops. Who knows what will come next?
- What is your goal for 2012 and why is it important? (Doesn't have to be hoop related.)
- OK met and exceeded 2011 goals. This year I am going on on tour teaching and hitting a few festivals including Burning man. Will have future posts but I want to connect with hooping communities and teach at various hoop/spinjams end of August through late Sept. Will be doing it for contributions only and a place to crash at and just to meet hoopers from around the country.
If that's not enough made a plan tonight (2/29/12) with my good friend Echo we are going to plan and start a new hooping camp in the Wildfire tradition of circus arts that is affordable to everyone and run by everyone. Everyone buys a ticket everyone is responsible for making it happen we all come together and make it what it can be. Plus it saves a lot of money that way.
2012 goals may be ambitious but they are already manifesting... may even have to add some more
