When did you first start hooping? June 2007 at The Fire Festival in Indiana

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? Intermediate with a side of beginner. :)

How often do you hoop? I didn't hoop much over the winter but I have started again. I try to make sure I hoop at least an hour a day. But with 5 kids running around that sometimes doesn't happen.

Do you have an indoor hoop space? Yep I have a 24ft Yurt for a bedroom and I arranged it specifically to be hoopable

Is there a hoop group where you live? none that I know of

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? Of course

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? yep 2

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? no :(

Do you teach hooping? I do at festivals we have out here on the land

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? everything depending on my mood. Sometimes crazy bouncy stuff sometimes mellow relaxing stuff

What is your favorite song right now? ummmmm thats just a bad question and impossible to answer

Do you buy hoops or make your own? I make my own including fire hoops... I did cave and buy my led hoop

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? I didn't pay attention

What size is your favorite hoop? 12ft around

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? yep

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? At the Fire Festival and youtube vids

Who is your favorite hoop teacher? I love how SaFire breaks down her tricks and since finding her I haven't looked for anything else.

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? Don't get discouraged if you don't figure it out the first time just try something else it will come to you when the time is right.

Do you fire hoop? HELL YA..... I just figured out a new design for a collapsible fire hoop that I am super excited to try out.

How much time do you spend on safiredance.ning? ummm every waking moment :D

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? Lifting from my waist to above my head.

What is the last trick you mastered? the head duck out on the shoulder

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? The current one^^

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? The current one ^^ Damn I just can't get the timing right

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? none that I know of

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Not really just around the fire at festivals

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? not once they see what I can do with it :)

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? bad bruises and a busted lip

Have you ever hooped naked? ya but it's hard when your well endowed

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? Hoop Convergence in NC 2009 and Fire Festival 07-09. And soon to be Midwest Hoop Fest :)
