It has less grip, but I will beat duct tape any day. For a long term solution I highly suggest getting gaffers tape or spike tape. You can get a roll for pretty cheap at…"

Try going/calling your nearest sports store and see if you can find Hockey tape. You want to buy the cloth tape not the hockey tape for shins. the Shin tape is slick and wont help."
