"Bah, kevlar is kevlar.  It may not function exactly as other forms do, but it still resists temps up to 750F and that should be fine.  If you're still worried, Take some out back, put it on a rock, splash some fuel on it and light…"

"NO that is not the correct kevlar material for fire wicks.  Kevlar wick can be found on any number of sites.  I like Renegade Juggling or Trick Concepts for my wick supplies."
