When did you first start hooping? summer 2009

Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? Intermediate

How often do you hoop? I try for every day, but at least 5 times a week.

Do you have an indoor hoop space? Yes -- the studio at my gym, as well as my living room (the latter is not ideal, though).

Is there a hoop group where you live? Sort of.

Did you start it? Yes.

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? Getting there!

Have you posted hooping videos? How many? Just a few...90! :o

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? Starting to.

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught? A handful.

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? Anything that catches me! Rocking Christian music, soundtracks, anything with a funky drum beat, anything that sounds sort of tribal.

What is your favorite song right now? We No Speak Americano!

Do you buy hoops or make your own? Both

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? No.

What size is your favorite hoop? I'm not sure -- probably somewhere around 36".

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? More and more.

How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? SaFire and YouTube.

Who is your favorite hoop teacher? SaFire of course! Baxter's Hoopcamp workshop rocked my socks off, though.

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? Just do it, and remember that it's supposed to be fun.

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to? Not yet.

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? Yes, I got a chakra hoop at Hoopcamp.

How much time do you spend on Hoop City Hooping Community? Far too much!

What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? Hand hooping. Or maybe the revolving door or barrel rolls? I can't remember.

What is the last trick you mastered? Vertical step through reverse.

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? Knee hooping.

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? Shoulder hooping...argh!

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? A few.

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Not yet. :)

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? Haha no...

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? A bruised bridge of the nose.

Have you ever hooped naked? Ouch, no!

Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? Hoopcamp 2010 :D
