I gave chest hooping a wide berth for a bit. Friday, after having a hard time giving my rats their meds, I went out and hooped in the rain cause I needed space and a chance to work off some frustration. I spun the hoop around my chest, and pushed as hard as I could against it. Boom! The thing went around a few times. I can't keep it at my chest as long as I'd like, or do anything with it save for catch it at my hips when it does fall, but I've got a little start.
I know you're going to get waist hooping. It's just a matter of finding the beat in your body and matching it with the weight and size of your hoop. You can. That is the great thing about hoop dance, we can do it, the hoop will teach us. :D Just remember it's not that you tried so many times and still cannot get it.Think more about how much effort you've put into it, and how much joy the hoop has given you so far, you're still going to get more. There is nothing inside that plastic tubing that you don't bring into yourself. You can do it!
In one of my classes, I suggested it to a woman who was really having a hard time too, and it worked like a charm. I think it sounds crazy but I think it works.
Has it helped you to get the rhythm of the hoop and to hoop on your waist?
I really want to know!
Thanks!
