honestly, it works the same way coming from bottom up, but easier in a sense, because gravity is on ur side. place ur hand in the hoop above your head, the way ur leg is placed when ur ready to start the trick from the ground, and it will naturally…
I am so sorry that I did not see this message from you until now. Jen Web holds a hoop Jam inside of Studio 34, which has it's own website. (think it is www.studio34.com) Jen Web is on Hoop City and she can give you the dates for that Hoop Jam.…
It is made of 3/4" polyethylene gas pipe (outside diameter measures about 1"). Gas tubing is less wobbly and has a higher heat tolerance than irrigation tubing.
Alrighty, that's fine :) How would you like to pay? PayPal is best and safest, but money order/cash-by-mail is fine too - though buyer's risk. It's $82 total, and would be arriving via UPS.
No, I won't have another pair of minis unfortunately. But if the original buyer does fall through, I'll let you know asap. :)
The mini fire hoops have a buyer as of now, just waiting on her payment (within a few more days) - but if she falls through I'll let you know.
As for the 38" fire hoop = good to go :) ($81 total)
If you're still also interested in the LED hoop I can send both for a discounted, combined shipping price ($175 total)
Oh also, I forgot to mention, the LED hoop is measured by the inner diameter, while the fire hoop is the outer diamter, so the LED hoop is a tad bit bigger than the fire hoop.
It isn't necessarry to replace the broken spine if you do not want to (in the future, if you change your mind, you can always buy it off TrickConcepts.com).
The sooner I can get it out the better, but I'm perfectly fine to wait a week or so if you really need.
Here is a good fire safety page: http://www.luxotica.com/education/safety.php
Basically, wear natural fiber materials (no spandex, etc.), keep fuel away from where you're spinning - and make sure no one smokes around it, never ever spin by yourself - always have someone present to spot you - and always be sure that person is ready to take action if need be. (fire blanket, wet towel, and/or extinguisher)
As for how to light the wicks, what I do is have a small metal can that I fill with my fuel (Kleanheat, I recommend it!), and dip the wick one by one (already on the hoop), let each one sit a couple seconds to abosrb the fuel. After they're fueled, I spin them off in a designated spin-off zone, to remove excess fuel. Then light up and dance :)
