how hooping changed everything

through trying to spin poi, and playing with various light toys, i met a girl when I was at CalArts who gave me the gift of hooping. She is a very good friend and I love her dearly, at that point in my life my friend had noticed that I was suffering from depression and wasn't taking care of myself due to my current emotional state and issues with my eating disorder. We used to hoop everyday and every once in a while she would teach me something new. I soon left calarts to go get well and get my…
