I measured the diameter of the tubing and added 1/4" for seam allowance. Cut 9" strips of fabric to the determined width (3 1/4")...machine sewed each strip together on the short end then machine sewed the entire strip down the long edge (right side in) and turned the fabric right side out. Then just slid over the hoop and put in the coupling. It was a bit tough to slide on but the instruction I saw said to make it tight and it's good because my fabric has already loosened up quite a bit and I've only done about 4 hours worth of hooping with it so far
