Repairing a kink - Hoop surgery

I've had this happen from time to time. Sometimes for no reason, sometimes becuase kids have pulled on it, sometimes becuase people try to collapse them improperly. But, I just did some hoop surgery and I wanted to share this with everyone. Here is my blog post on it:http://www.rainbowfrogs77hoops.blogspot.com/ And the video I made to show how I did it.…See More

Amber-Leigh L. Buckwald replied to the discussion 'Hoop Sellers - how do you work out your costings and prices?'
"Well, it's taken me about 2 years to get my prices somewhere near settled. Trial and error mostly. You'd just have to crunch the numbers down if you want to get really precise. For tubing take the amount you pay for the tubing and figure…"

Amber-Leigh L. Buckwald replied to the discussion 'Are gaffer tapes necessary?'
"I purchased gaffer tapes for the first time a few months ago. Until they get worn in they are slippery as well. I prefer vinyl/electrical tapes. If you are dressed properly for hoop dance, exsposed skin on the arms/legs/etc then it works even…"

Amber-Leigh L. Buckwald replied to the discussion 'Leaving Hoops in Car?'
"If you're hoops are unfolded then most of the time the biggest issue is with the tape losing it's luster, sliding, etc just as some of the other posts have mentioned. The tubing will get quite soft so once you remove it you'll want to…"

Amber-Leigh L. Buckwald replied to the discussion 'Is my hoop too heavy?'
"That seems to be the general feeling. 3/4" 160psi is for basic beginner hooping. It gets you used to the spinning motion of the hoop since it is easier to get it to go around. Hoop weight and size is always personal preference when it comes…"
