How old are you?
I am 34 years old.
When did you first start hooping?
I started hooping on March 9, 2009
Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper?
I still feel like a beginner, but I think that's being hard on myself, so I guess I'll call myself intermediate.
How often do you hoop?
Everyday, for at least one song. But usually it ends up being 30 minutes once per day plus 2 minutes here and there throughout the day. (I'll usually pick up my hoop and give it a quick swirl everytime I walk by it.)
Do you have an indoor hoop space?
Sort of...I have to move all my furniture around but it's worth it.
Is there a hoop group where you live?
No, but I have put some feelers out to local hoopers (there are only 3 others)...no responses yet though.
Did you start it?
No group yet.
Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping?
Both
Have you posted hooping videos? How many?
Yes...ummm I think I have 6 or 7 videos of myself and a bunch of uploads from HP3
Do you have friends nearby to hoop with?
:( No.
Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught?
Nope. I would like to take a certification class though.

Nothing specific...I'll hoop to whatever is on.

I have a thing for Unwritten at the moment.
Do you buy hoops or make your own?
Make my own
Have you lost weight since starting to hoop?
Yes, then I gained it back....I'm working on that though.
What size is your favorite hoop?
I know this is strange, but I have not really settled on a favorite hoop. I love them all. Sometimes I hoop with a 38" light hoop, sometimes I use my mini's, sometimes I use my heavier 40" hoop, it really is dependent on my mood.
Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place?
I am now. But when I started, I wouldn't even hoop in front of my own mother.
How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today?
YouTube...Thank you to all you beautiful hoop teacher who are willing to share!!!!
Who is your favorite hoop teacher?
Hmmm...that's tough. I love Safire, Ann Humphrey and Bax, Caroleeena, Grovinmegzz. The truth is I have kind of combined a little bit of all of their teachings to learn what I have learned. If I almost get it with one tutorial, another usually will seal the deal for me. It's too hard to pick just one, they are all great!! Bax and Ann are the only two I have had the pleasure of learning from in person, the rest have been tutorials.
What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers?
Practice both currents and don't judge yourself, just enjoy the journey.

Only once and I loved it! I asked for a cosmic fire hoop for x-mas

Yes, I bought a kit from ProdMod and made it myself

Hi! I just found hooping yesterday, and made my own today. I got myself to being able to hoop in both directions. So, total beginner. I'm in Saratoga Springs, and I see you are close. Want to connect?
