I also figured out how to do a vortex recently.

I'm not amazing at hooping.

In fact, I'm very new at it.

Tonight I just let the hoop do what it wanted to do.

It was windy. At first I was moving against the wind. My hoop would slow and fall, or even start turning in awkward ways. Instead of fight it, I went with it.

I spun, my hoop spun. We changed directions. We went fast and slow... whatever the wind and the hoop felt like doing, we did. I felt like the wind myself.

I actually did quite a bit…

No fear.

I feel really great right now.

I just got in from a 45 minute hoop session.

It was awesome. I don't know why, but I feel completely fearless inside the hoop.

I did a lot of things tonight that I didn't know I could do. I didn't really choose to do them, it just seemed 'right', if that makes sense. I chest hooped, knee hooped, waist hooped, figured out isolations, did some arm and elbow and neck hooping, and kinda just let things flow. If the hoop fell, I just picked it up and…

I just started hooping physically on July 10th. Before then, I did all of my hooping in my mind.

I first became interested in hooping in June, after following a link in someone's signature on a forum I used to visit. It pulled me in quickly like a whirlpool. Hooping was what I had been looking for: something that will help me connect my mind with my body, something to enjoy as a hobby, something that interests me and excites me. Every day I would watch videos and dance in my head,…

Awww yay! I remember that hoop. The black mirror and white spike one I believe is the only one that went to Oregon. I love that design and I'm so happy to hear that you enjoy it. Hooping is by far my favorite thing to do and I hope you love it!
