Would you call yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced hooper? Intermediate I guess? :)
How often do you hoop? A few days a week, I try to go daily if I can!
Do you have an indoor hoop space? I live in a dorm room, there's not even space for walking! XD
Is there a hoop group where you live? Sort of? A poi/fire hoop group, which is just as awesome :)
Did you start it? I'm not coolbeans enough for that, haha.
Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping? Both, I think! I love it a little too much, I find myself moving my hips like I'm hula hooping constantly.
Have you posted hooping videos? How many? I think 4 or 5, I'm very shy about posting vids, lol, but I'm getting better!
Do you have friends nearby to hoop with? Yes, but I don't get to see them as often as I'd like to practice new hoop tricks.
Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught? I'm a pretty bad teacher, I'm trying to teach just my friends though!
What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping? Whatever I have at hand, I don't usually hoop in my room :/
What is your favorite song right now? Cosmic Love, by Florence and the Machine :D
Do you buy hoops or make your own? I just started making my own hoops! yayy!
Have you lost weight since starting to hoop? I think I've lost like 4lbs in the last few months of hooping, at least, so definitely. And my abs are starting to look niceeeee :)
What size is your favorite hoop? 38", it's a comfortable space.
Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place? Not really, I usually need a friend there, even if he/she's not hooping.
How did you learn the majority of the tricks you know today? My friend and then lots of SaFire's videos on YouTube :)
Who is your favorite hoop teacher? I only really know SaFire, but she rocks!
What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers? Just keep practicing, and you'll get it! Trust me, don't give up!
Do you fire hoop? It's the whole reason I started hooping! When I saw my friend light up that fire hoop, I knew I wanted to learn. Now I love hooping in general, but fire hooping was my first love xD
Do you own an LED hoop? Where did you get it? Yes, it just came yesterday, yayyyyy!
How much time do you spend on safiredance.ning? All the time! lol
What was the first trick you learned (besides waist hooping)? The lift from the waist.
What is the last trick you mastered? The one-shoulder trick where you duck out and it rolls on your shoulder than you pop your head back up. Crazy!
What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn? Right now, trying to do the one-legged hooping and then picking it back up. Getting my leg out is easy enough, but I can't catch the hoop! Haha!
Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get? The horizontal elbow pass. I just can't seem to catch it on my left elbow.
How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city? I really have no idea!
Have you performed hooping in front of an audience? Not really, just my friends around while I'm hooping. No one ever sees when I finally get that trick, and when they're watching, I can't do it! *facepalm*
Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop? My friends joke around until they see my moves ;) then they want to learn for themselves!
What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop? Bruises. Lots of them everywhere; people thought I had an abusive boyfriend or something! I've also split my lip before pretty badly!
Have you ever hooped naked? No, but...intriguing. XD
Have you been to a hoop camp/retreat? Which one? No, hopefully I can soon though!
