Why do all hoopers own pets?

I just became exposed to the hooping community less than a month ago and I've been obsessed watching YouTube video's since then. It's pretty funny because I've noticed almost every single video I've seen has a cat or dog or any other type of domesticated animal. I'm totally wondering if I should steal my sisters dog Nikki so he can be a part of my vids when I start. It's just really interesting.
