I haven't updated my hoop journal in a while, but the journey continues! A notable even was my 30th birthday, one of the guys from Jurassic 5 came to my tiny town and it was probably one of the most amazing nights out of my life. I met a hooper that night who has been at it for over a decade and she was really nice and encouraging to me, and told me to keep it up because I have no idea the doors it will open. I'm really excited about the summer festival season and getting to meet and…

I just cannot get back into my hoop rhythm. It probably has something to with the fact that I didn't practice all winter... My back is also messed up and I'm really bummed about it. Help!
My journey continues. ... It has been a very long time since I have updated my journal. It has been a long and strange trip for sure ... but at least I am enjoying the ride. My hooping has majorly improved, its so nice to actually read and watch my progress thanks to this site.
I have started my own company with my boy friend, VIOLA LEE HOOPS. I make and sell LEDs. (at a cheap/reasonable price) but also GRATE quality.
My hoop dancing is a lot better than it…

I quite literally just drove down to Arizona and moved in less than two weeks ago. I managed to fit three of my favorite hoops in my hatchback. The weather is gorgeous and it's making me long to get hoopin' again. I hardly know anyone here and it'd be great to find other hoop friends out in this area
Let me know if anyone's around and down. I'll bring my hoops, maybe some…

last year our garden was quite small, we pretty much just grew what we needed to make pickles and jelly's for the farmers market.. this year we will have the room to grow for our entire family and the farmers market and hopefully will be able to start stocking the pantry with canned goods and stock the freezer with purees! :)
This year we are growing: carrots, beets, kohlrabi, onions, garlic, radish, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, spinach, kale, lettuce, celery, peas, beans, eggplant,…

I am downloading a ton of music from the music section, getting into the flow of it, and I can't wait until the snow melts and I can actually hoop to it. It's been so long... I'm so out of practice. With any luck, I can improve my game this summer. :)

last night I started my dreads.. so far I've gotten 20 done on the back/bottom of my head. Next week we're moving back out to the country and I'll be able to have a nice sized garden, enough for our family and for the farmers market this spring/summer! I'm in love with our new house and the way I feel when I'm there.. It's very open and the energy flow is great, we'll have plenty of room for baxter(our dane) and a few chickens(fancy, penny, henny). We have a view of the water now but when…
Sojourn of the Sacred Spiral
Within the reality in which we have come to exist, the Sacred Spiral is everywhere. The outer edges begin with galactic immensity and proceed right down to our smallest units of understanding in atomic composition. Much of natural life employs the spiral, from the famed chambered nautilus to the unfurling of the arcane fern. The whirling of cream in our morning coffees to our own unique fingerprints, the spiral is there. It is even infused in our very DNA.…

The Cabin Fever Electro Swing Event was excellent! A big thanks to James for bringing me in for the show. I did a newer and longer version of my Catgroove routine that now includes some double hoop moves and some more awesome triple hoop moves. Including a double chest roll while knee hooping! That move is by far the hardest one to master but I pulled it off and caught both hoops. I was a bit…
I'm writing to you today to announce that, a one of a kind hula-hoop, of which I have received numerous requests for, Is finally for sale! I first designed a version of this hoop, now know as "The DreamWeaver" 6 years ago in my art studio at college. Since then I have been working hard to find a way to get these hoops out of my living room and into the hoop community, but the first step was making it COLLAPSIBLE and LIGHT. NOT an easy process, but after extensive…

It's finally getting warmer.
I say that after Georgia and a few other states get hit with rain, storms, and tornadoes (prayers and thoughts going out to those with losses). Although I have only been hooping on and off for a little over a year, I get discouraged during the winter time because it's hard for me to hoop in jeans/pants. Hooping in a lot of clothing is difficult in the first place.
So after a couple months of hardly being in the hoop, I have spent…
