Trying to figure things out on my hoop city page lol

So I wish I knew how to dress my hoop city profile page! I am slowly figuring it out but there has to be a faster way. I feel like I want it to really reflect me as a hooper but I am having major issues. First all my good photos are only on my FB page pics others have taged of me that they have taken at various events. So I dont know how to transfer them to my hoop city page and then I want my music that I hoop to to play on my profile. Well wish me luck and I am lookin for any suggestions!

Looking back on my hoopgrowth and flow.. And current taking form of hoopstyle.

I am rewatching all of my hoopvids .. I started hooping in april 2010, and then kind of stopped.. well ok I picked up my hoop every now and then, but never really pushed myself to go that extra bit. Maybe due to the fact that I had and was going through some heavy stuff..

Then in november 2010 I got word Bax&Breck were coming to give an workshop, and I was like UHOH!

What if I cant keep up or am 'not good enough' , so i stepped up big time!

After…

Loving the Vibe here!

I just wanted to take a few moments to say that I really enjoy the camaraderie here! It is fascinating to watch & hear the unfoldment of each person's journey, trials & victories! It is truly inspiring & heartfelt, as well as, wonderful knowing that no matter what challenge we are enduring at the time there's always someone else who's also having or have had that same challenge before truly validating knowing we are never alone in our journey for all of us are also experiencing…

Learning To Blend, Merge & Become One With The Hoop

Over the course of the last 43 days, I've been upon a wonderful, inspiring & beautiful journey learning how to blend, merge & become One with the hoop. Seeing things from my perspective, there's a multitude of symbology associated with the hoop. Truly it has become a new tool for me to utilize my gifts & abilities in a creative & unique way. A means for me to channel & anchor loving healing energies into Mother Earth, as well as, all of Creation.

As a Planetary…

Rain rain rain

It has been raining non stop all week.  I was hoping to get some outside hooping in soon.  But it will have to wait for better weather and for me not to be sick.  Unfortunately I contracted some sort of virus and lucky me gets to take a weeks worth of antibiotics and cough pills.  I don't have any room in my house to really hoop well.  Ceiling fans are so annoying.  lol  I just have to watch others videos and pretend I'm hooping as well.  Thank goodness for all the videos that are posted.  It's…

Hogwash

For the first time I felt really frustrated with my hooping and my weight.   I'm an average weight but I've never been in the best shape I know I could be in and the past couple weeks I've been really trying hard to tone my body and improve my hooping.  I guess yesterday i became upset because either one isnt coming fast enough, so I moped around all day yesterday pouting.  Well today I say hogwash!  Everything comes in time and instead of focusing on my 'future body' and my 'future hooping'  I…

The re-apperaring act

I had taken a break from hooping (well not so much hooping) and this site. I would rarely pick up my toys, I really don't know what switched my mood off, but after a few weeks of keeping to myself and figuring things out I am back in the circle and this wonderful site. My journey is continuing and growing more each day. I hope everyone had a wonderful easter and spring break (if you had one).

Peace,Love & lights lovely.

Now is the time!

I had my 6 week post natal apt. today and the Dr. says it should be fine to go back to my normal hooping schedule! I am so happy :) I am going to have to hoop a lil extra to get back on track. I still have my flow down just a little rusty on my balance and I have some left over baby wieght I need to learn to work with or should I say work off!

Revisiting the idea of hula hooping

Lately, I have been feeling rather inadequate in my hula hooping. I feel as if I am making no progress and have ran into a roadblock of inspiration. This roadblock as been going on for a few months, and I am honestly a little discouraged. My tricks, dance and flow are no where near where I want it to be. I do not feel as happy as I used to when I hoop and I starve for that euphoric state I used to feel when I first started to hula hoop when I nailed a trick or did…

milestones are niiiice

its been 22 days since i got my first hoop.

the first 3 days were a nightmare of even trying to keep the stupid thing on my waist. (they sent me a 44 inch btw, its been... interesting lol)

then everything magically began to click.

i just did my first one shoulder head duck out. i've been doing it with my arm through the hoop so it won't fly off and kill anyone, but i finally did it without the training wheels.

i can chest hoop with surprising ease. i…

Cherry Blossom Hooping

I was hooping at the park today as I do sometimes, but unlike most times, the park was FILLED with people.  It's not really surprising considering the absolutely gorgeous cherry blossoms throughout the park. I was just in one of my normal spots and attracted several groups of kids in the 45 minutes I was there.  Three kids came up between songs and asked me for my autograph. (^__^)  I told them I'm not famous, but they still wanted me to sign their notebooks and a ball.  I'm pretty sure one of…

Worn out - but so worth it

Last Saturday, only two people attended our hoop jam.  Halimeda Hoops and I talked as we spun about how we'd like to generate more interest in our playdates, so HH, her hubby and I met up this afternoon for a little hoopdancing at the University of Southern Mississippi's Jazz & Blues Festival and Arts Show on the USM Gulf Coast campus.  We got there around 1 p.m. and staked our claim to a clear, flat patch of ground.  We laid out the extra hoops we both brought, and started rocking it…

vast amount of tape.

For anyone that makes their own hoops often or just enjoys tape: http://www.tapebrothers.com/Hula-Hoop-Tapes-s/366.htm. I was surfing around the net before bed and discovered that site. There are so many varieties my mind is kind of blown.

Learning to Hoop and Spreading the Fun

On April 16, 2011 I decided to buy a hoop online. I had read that Beyonce used weighted hoops to keep a small waist. My waist is anything but small. I have been into athletics my whole life, but at 32 years old, I had my second knee surgery. I had a torn ACL and meniscal tears. I am a non-traditional student, so I'm trying to get out of college this time as quickly as I can. Since I discovered during fall semester that I had to have surgery, I postponed it until Christmas Break. Being in a…

Hey!

Hey everyone, if it's being read xD

I'm new to this site, and I think it's amazing! I'm not new to hooping though, I've been doing it for years (with a lil gap in the middle) I posted some videos and pics to try and get started. And I'm hoping to post a lot more in the future.

Hope to learn a lot from you guys!

Releasing Fear, Letting Go & Trusting in the Flow

I titled this journal entry "Releasing Fear, Letting Go & Trusting in the Flow" because that seems to really be the lesson the Universe is sending my way over the past few months with all of the changes that have been taking place; a whole new perspective & endeavor has surfaced providing a totally unlooked for advantage & blessing in disguise offering unlimited potential & opportunities.

I find that equally within the hoop in order to truly flow balanced…
