I've been hooping since Sept. 10th and I felt confident enough to order my first polypro 10 minutes ago. I can shoulder hoop, my vortex is where I want it to be (it could be better), and I can now do iso's that I wasn't sure I could accomplish. I love doing the rising sun, and I am having fun spinning and traveling with the hoop a lot.



I just started chest hooping. It's a slow process, like everyone says. I'm just really excited and really proud and very happy. I can't wait to get my…  

I brought the hoop from waist to lasso in my opposite current!!! lol.doesn't sound like much but it made me happy :) Trying to go ahead and start learning to to things both ways while I'm still pretty new to hooping. Do you think it's important to learn everything both ways or just certain things?w

O my gosh he found out he knows omg. Ok ok lets calm down first lets go back to the beginning remember in a previous post i said that the guy i like , likes another girl which made me sooo sad. Lately he has been gone. i assumed that he was trying to get with her. And today he came back and i saw him earlier i told my friend cortny that i liked him so she knew so this is what happened

This weekend I went to a local shop for their annual Christmas Open house and did my 1st "public" hooping demonstrations. It didn't really happen quite as I planned, but turned out better! I was nervous since I thought I'd end up having to do a bit more of a performance type deal in front of a bunch of people and I've just been hooping 6 months (almost). But I ended up showing/talking about hooping with small groups, smallest was 2 & biggest was 8 people. I really enjoyed myself too. I sold…  

...So overall, I am feeling much better about myself and life now that I've picked hooping back up. Life has been so overwelming...with work, taking care/ help raising of my younger brother, trying to save money, pay bills, blah blah blah that ive pushed aside things that I loved, things that made me happy. Hooping as one, painting, photography and yoga. Ive made a promise to myself in the last few months that I am not going to allow that to happen again. Lately i am more inspired to…  

I hooped on campus for the first time today, and it was A BLAST! There were people watching and the gardener stared, haha. Actually, no one said anything to me during it, possibly because I took a page from the "shy hoopers" thread and put on some headphones and big sunglasses.



To be honest, I was shaking when I started, almost to the point that I nearly just put the hoop down and waited for my ride in stillness. Cranking up my music wasn't helping... until I hit the "next" button…

Wow- 2010 already! I've been hooping since the summer of 2007; that's about 2.5 years now. It feels like the hoop's been a part of my life forever! I'm so grateful for having found it, and for the good that it has brought me. In the last year, I have learned to really value myself, love my body, and spread joy to others thanks to the hoop. It's served as an amazing social tool; the hoop's always a hit at parties, and it provides a great ice breaker. The hoop…  

Go November!



This has been the best hoop month! I was kind of in a funk in October, not hooping too much... just kind of overwhelmed by the day to day. I felt like every time I picked up my hoop, everything was off. There was no flow...I tend to dramatize... and so, was wondering if my hoop vibe was over... :(



BUT



then November happened! yay! I dunno what the change was, but this month has been a total resurgence of hoop bliss. Work is great, classes are going…  

so friday night there was a free party at genesee valley park! the same place we did whirly wednesday all summer! the big pavillion there is a perfect place for that kind of thing. the pavillion is huge and there's nothing around there, as in nonresidential nearby. just more park and river. there's never been an issue with the volume of the drum circle, and not even for a little electronic music shindig either now! we had looked into having a free day party there back in may, and weekends were…  

Hi everyone. I am so excited at how many wonderful people are in this community, commenting on my videos and genuinly being great friends. I love it! In preparation for Summer Camp Festival (less than two weeks!) I have been trying to learn some stuff..flow better..etc..I hope that I am improving! Well, recovery is here! On december 2nd 2007 i had my left fo0t go through some major surgery. I had each toe broken and a small peice taken out and then had my toes straightened and screwed back together.



In march 2008 i recieved my first ho0ps! Jamie, hearing my 0o0ohs and aaahs over ho0ping had amazingly created them for me on my 20th birthday! i ho0ped all summer and then, in december 2008 i had surgery again, now on my right fo0t.
