i give up.

on knee hooping, that is. i have tried and tried...with jeans on, fleece pants, scarves tied around my kness...but i can only knee hoop for 5 seconds at the most. i'm not hooping on my actual knee, but slightly above it and it's still killing the outside of my legs. i can't seem to get the hoop to raise either. i've tried it with my lightest, biggest hoop and still nothing.

every other hooping move i have had trouble with in the past i've been able to practice through and get it. but this, it hurts so bad i don't know what else to do.

i feel like a failure :\

I really, really recommend hooping a little higher on the leg at first. Maybe you have thin legs as I do & need to keep the hoop where there is a little more padding until your body builds up a little.

What I'd recommend (it should help both your raising trouble & knee pain): start with hooping at the hip, let it go just slightly down on your thigh & maintain for a minute, then raise it back to the hip. Repeat, going a skinch lower, then raise again. Keep going down gradually until you reach the closest level that allows you to hoop in reasonable comfort & raise it effectively. Keep doing this regularly for a while & eventually you'll be able to keep it at the knee & raise it from there. It's important to be patient with our bodies!

I have the same extreme-pain issue now with the kick up. Waiting for boot season!

1/2" or 3/4", 100 PSI, approx. 36 in. Having hoops this size and weight has helped me tremendously with knee hooping. Good luck! Much love!
