After practicing for two weeks, and now that the baseball-sized bruise on my left hip (from my first hooping experience in 25 years!) I am making progress! I can't believe how much I enjoy doing something I TOTALLY forgot about over the last two and a half decades. I'm hooked, and am really happy to have found this site. I had no idea so many people were into this. Yay!! :)

And we all get bruises as our badges for starting out. We find hooping quite addicting too!

The bruises helped me to learn to hoop lower on my pelvis nd higher on my chest. I figured if I wanted to keep hooping and didn't want to keep injuring myself I had better learn a new pivot point! My chins were the worst though, then there's the first good bang on the nose, neck scratches etc...Troo Hoopsis correct, it is a badge of honor! I can think of no more honest and honorable injury!

I was showing off my "maiden" bruise like a proud parent! I've had a few more, but not like the first mother-of-a-bruise on my hip. I'm shocked I don't have them on my shins too Mister Hamilton, because I have banged the heck out of them!
